I realized a long time ago, I was watching that show for a sense of vicarious release. You watch this guy who is more of a raw nerve than anything, getting away with being a completely reactive asshole. Someone pisses him off, and he’s suddenly throwing things, possibly at you. He’s a child really, but it looks so damn satisfying, watching him go from one fuck up to the next, claiming good intentions all the while. He’s like a tornado of bad morals and poor decisions. I get the satisfaction of watching him do things I never would. To actually slap the asshole in line behind me and not let the prick just get away with it. — I makes me smile. The same goes for the rest of these. It’s that impulse that you hold back every day because you know it’s not socially acceptable, but in there, somewhere, and usually not too far down is the urge to give these pricks what’s coming to them. … ah sweet release.
